Holiday journal pages.

Really trying to play with Dylusions Lime green spray, as green is a colour I am trying to use more. It really is a summery colour so it inspired me to explore holiday moments.

I used a quote from Brenda Ueland as it seemed to suit. " You see, imagination needs moodling, - long, inefficient, magical, idling, dawdling and puttering." I am trying to implement this at the moment.

I received this image in a swap and I thought she suited the page.

I thought I would have her stay at the Hotel Chocolat (ribbon from a box of their fine chocs).

Added some Pan Pastels with various stencils and some holidaying doodles. Added some liquid pearls and Sakura clear star glitz. Made some clouds from tissue paper and dictionary pages (dreams & holiday defs).

Added a title with letter stamps. Had a creative holiday. Thanks for stopping by. Hugs C X

ATCs

Just to hopefully join in with Louise's ATC swap on Craft Mad & Loving It forum I chose to make these ATCs. They are purely because the colours, paper and patterns make me happy. Hugs C x

Losing the fear of being wrong!

My journal page today is all about this fear. I wanted to really push my boundaries and have a go at a dark but rich page similar to some I had seen in Art Journaling Magazine a couple of moths ago. I started with acrylic paints mixed with pearlescent medium. I then added some torn Cardstock to add texture.

I added my new mask stamp, after decorating it with gilding flakes and stamping over the top and adding two beads.

The mask needed a frame which I created and then heat embossed using details from the mask stamp in gold jewelled powder.

I added my quote. And then some gold acrylic paint, gold rub on cream, crackle paint, perfect pearls shimmer spray in heirloom gold and some DI in brushed corduroy.

This is going to be the cover of a loose ring binder journal. I have had the ring binder for ages, it is a blank paper chase one. Now I know what I want to do with it I thought I would try 'To live a creative life, one must first lose the fear of being wrong'.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hugs C X
