Last post of 2010

A teenage birthday tea light card made for Karen's Sunday themed challenge on 'Craft Mad & Loving it' - anything but Christmas. I
I had a very little play with my new Tattered Florals for this one and used the lovely image swapped by a kind crafter.

Finally I wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year's Eve and New Year - filled with health, laughter and crafting/ photography.

Walking in a winter wonderland

The snow is melting finally, although it is rather slippery under foot in places. The woods were rather eerie this morning in the fog and remnants of snow. A good place to walk off the Christmas festivities and mull over the new beginnings ahead of us and the passing of the last year.

Melting is an interesting phenomena and the thaw is well afoot here. With it life can begin anew and limbo appears to lift. The snow has made it possible to stop this Christmas as it has been impossible to do as much rushing around as normal. I hope new life is gently awakening with you with the thought of new possibilities.

Playing at Christmas

Christmas trip on the 24th to see Santa on the Severn Valley Railway.

Tea light holder/cards made for the 25th.

Another of our garden visitors we are feeding during the cold weather.

Playing in the snow.

We hope you have been having fun too. Xxx

Christmas Cheer

I hope everyone has had a really lovely Christmas and Boxing day. It certainly has been a White Christmas here but our family were able to get to us for Christmas dinner - which was lovely. We all enjoyed the day with good company, wine, food and presents. Santa was very generous to us all and I am currently trying to get to grips with an amazing IPad (that DH gave to me) which will hopefully make me a better blogger in 2011. However at the moment I am getting frustrated by the "how do I ...?" factor. So please be patient.

At the moment I am not quite sure how to upload pictures - hence no pictures on this post.

Continue with the merriment and I will be back posting as normal very soon and leaving lots of comments as I have been remiss of late.

Gift Bags and a Robin Redbreast

Here's my Robin - totally aggressive but very seasonal in our new snowfall this morning.

Here are some of my gift bags that are keeping me busy at the moment. The inspiration and design are courtesy of the lovely Clare.

Should have some more stitching to show soon too.

Hope all your festive plans are coming to fruition with only one week to go.

My what an amount of snow we are having in the UK at the moment! Totally beautiful and festive but a bit of a nightmare for travelling in.

Keep safe and warm.

O Rose thou art sick.

Another frost today but it does appear to have warmed up as the day has progressed.

A rose for day 100 - looks almost sugar-coated.

Thank you to Mr William Blake for the Title of my post from his poem
'The Sick Rose' from 'Songs of Innocence and of Experience'

Colourful Skaters

Sketch by Karen for the 'Craft Mad & Loving It' Group - thank you Karen (one very talented lady indeed - go and see) really useful sketch that was a joy to use.

Cardstock was DCWV textured with snowflakes stamped on it in 'Faded Jean' DI and Baby Blue Stickles added. Paper also DCWV (I think!). Ribbon is Dovecraft and Tag was from stash.

I'm going to enter this into the Magnolia-licious Challenge as I think it fits their colour challenge Blue, Pink and Green. Hop over and check out their lovely challenge and their makes. Respect indeed.

I do like this advent season - fa la la and ding dong merrily...

The Sunday Creative : Frozen

Justine has been hosting The Sunday Creative whilst Meagan was having a break. It has returned to Meagan's site here.

Her prompt this week (very apt indeed) is

FROZEN.
Here is my very frozen washing line.

I really liked the architecture of this shot I hope you do too.

Stay warm if you are in the frozen Northern hemisphere at the moment.
