Create a Sketch Challenge #1

Had a quiet night so decided to have a go at Katie Jane's sketch over at the new Easy Craft Projects Forum. Had fun colouring up Joanna Sheen's Messy Rabbit and Flower Pot Extras with PMs. I've used Papermania cardstock and Paper Cellar Spring paper and some handmade paper coloured with PM for the grass. The sentiment is a G Studio one.

'Let's Get Stamping' Green Challenge

Sharon has set a great sketch for this week with beautiful DT cards for inspiration and the added twist of using green.

I used my other new CC design Swiss Pixie (want more already!!!) Gretal and decoupaged her after colouring with PMs (including Lime Green). Teamed her with 'Butterflies and Blossom' Stack papers and 'Spring' papers from Paper Cellar and K&Co sentiment and flower die cut.

I want to get some silicone glue next and have a go at the tutorial over at Just Magnolia as a different approach to 3D as I think the effects are stunning.

Hannah's Unusual candy!!!

Basically, Hannah will offer what YOU choose. Wait for it! You can choose one item which totals up to
£10 (GBP - no more but can be less, depends on what you want!) including any postage fees I will incur buying it for you and if you are the lucky winner I will get the goodies for you. Simple as that! Perhaps there is a stamp you have been hankering after, or maybe a stack of papers or maybe something from hobbycraft to avoid any postage costs to maximise the prize! I know it's not much but hey - we are in a recession and it's a bit of fun! Lol! So here are the rules...

So go check out her blog!!!

The Friendly Garden

I have had a lovely afternoon making this card for Brenda's 'In an English Garden' challenge over at Allsorts and the Just Magnolia 'Friendship' challenge (my first time of entering!).

I enjoyed colouring this Tilda (donated stamped image by Susie Sugar, thanks!) with my PMs. I matted her on to a Funky Fairy Matt which was stamped with a Messy Rabbit fence and a Smirk butterfly. The white card was stamped using a Studio G 'My Friend' stamp in pearlescent lavender (Dew Drop). It then had two papers put on top from the 'Blossoms and Butterflies' Stack and then the matt on top of these. Paper flowers from my stash were added and handmade paper coloured using PM Lime green was torn and added in layers for foreground texture. Lastly the tag was edged and stamped and the butterflies punched.

PMs used today.

Thanks for looking and any kind comments gratefully received.

Have a lovely week all. XXX

Cocoa and Rose Pink Cupcake Anyone ?!?

The lovely Susie and Vicki over at DCD have chosen Cupcakes as their theme this week and PFP have chosen Cocoa and Rose Pink and i thought these would melt together in a delightful gooey manner!!!

I took careful ownership of Liesel and her wheelbarrow this morning from CC Designs and the Swiss Pixies range, sent very promptly by Elaine from Quixotic Paperie. She and her pixie mate Gretel are a complete indulgence but sooooo lovely.

I've teamed her with Funky Fairy Cupcake paper, cupcake and mat and have used a Fairy Cake stamp by Willow Designs in Dew Drop pearlescent orchid and some Sweet rub ons by DCWV. Flower and butterfly from stash. I clear embossed her wings the cherry on the cake and the heart on the wheelbarrow. The cupcake paper is the FF paper printed on vellum in pink. PMs used to colour the images, mostlt cocoa and rose pink.

Thanks for looking. XXX

Carmine Faery for 'Let's Get Stamping'

Katie's sketch on Craftbubble for the 'Let's Get Stamping' Challenge is...with the added optional twist to use the carmine PM.
I decided to use the free faery stamps that came with 'Papercraft Inspirations' this month and Dovecraft paper 'Wild Blossom'. Also had a go at embossing the wings and top part of the daisy petals with clear powder.

Teamed it with PM cardstock in pink and inked edges with the Dew Drop pearlescent orchid colour. All images coloured using PMS. Then to finish added Anita's sticker sentiment.

Enjoyed this very much thanks for any kind comments. XXX

Vintage Birthday

It is my aunt's birthday on Monday and over at the Allsorts Challenge the theme is vintage and this appeals as I've just got hold of the Paper Cellar Victorian Classic pad. I love the Allsorts challenges but haven't entered for a while so I am happy to be doing so now.

I have had a go at some new techniques for this beginner in this card but on the whole I like it. I have taken one of my photos of a flower head (a fav subject of mine) and edited it with PSE and printed it on Parchment Card and clear embossed over it.

I've layered it on Funky Fairy Distressed paper from Vol 3 and the Victorian Classic paper and added string raffia from Arty Miss.

I stamped happy birthday on gold vellum layered the card up and stamped with a Personal Impressions stamp in Whispers Archival Straw Matt and a FF Bespoke ink pad and clear embossed at points. I also used an XCut ruler to tear the paper.

Thanks for the inspiration DT over at Allsorts and thanks for taking the time to look. Happy Crafting. XXX
