2017 Week One

Effy Wild's Journal 52 has changed for 2017 - if you are interested go and check it out here - Journal52 - she has decided to do an ATC for people to download if they desire with a word. She generously gives a prompt, an oracle and synonyms for you to bounce off. I have decided to just take the word and do my own thing. I have decided that I want to follow a more cohesive approach to the pages this year, but to continue using it as a place to experiment with materials.

Week one - Portal

Materials 

Distress paints in Chipped Sapphire and mustard seed, Dylusions mask, Americana acrylic paint in Royal Fushia, PaperArtsy chalk acrylics in Bougainvillea, Banana and Caribbean Sea. Word stencil

(can't remember who's) and splats in DecoArt acrylic in Flesh, white and a green. Fude ball pen in black 1.5mm.

I have continued to knit my Vintage Fairy Light socks, vanilla latte socks and my Agleam shawl. You can find all the patterns on Ravelry.

I have had another go at making my own project bags with zips - my first two inserted! 

My aim is to make one a month in fabric inspired by the passing year. I will purchase longer zips next onto! 12 inches is needed not 7! Learning from mistakes and accepting imperfection.

I am using this book this month to help me improve my sock knitting...
