Hearts!

I love my new Pollycraft Digi Images - this is one of them - isn't she lovely?
Over on LGS Rosie has set a humdinger of a sketch and twist. The twist was to use stationery cupboard basics - mine are paperclips and post-it notes - always have them in pink!
I'v teamed these with PM 'Bluberry Hill' papers and K&CO papers. The heart is from Joanna Sheen and the butterflies are Hero Arts Patterened butterflies. The little heart is CTMH. The little pink gem is Anita's. All inks are either PMs or Dew Drops.

It is obviously my LGS entry but it fits with lots of challenges because of the hearts. I've decided to enter a new challenge for me the Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge go and check out the yummy DT work!

Well that's all the cards for me today have a good night. XXX

A Sugar Bowl of Blossoms for you!

What a beautiful clear blue day - really sunny and lovely. I've been working on this card for some days and I'm glad to have finished it. It is for the challenge over at The Sugar Bowl . I've taken Marlene's sketch from The Sugar Bowl, which intrigued me, and the colours Red, White and Blue.I love Leanne Ellis' designs from Sugar Nellie amd have used 'Blossoms' for this card coloured with PMs and Sparkles. The flowers were all from this stamp too. The flourish, tag and sentiment are all from the Tag set from CTMH. All cardstock is PM. The ribbon is from hobbycraft and the glitter brad from Steph. The little hearts are from a local stationer.

I really enjoy what I recently read in Craft Stamper Mag described as 'Fussy Scissor Work' - I find it very relaxing and therapeutic. I hope you are all doing something therapeutic this weekend. Thanks for stopping by.

Beware Bear Sleeping!

You have been warned! If you go down to Die Cut Dreams Challenge today you'll be sure to find BEARS!!!! And here is mine so shhhhhhhhh...
He is an image sent to me which I have been hoarding because he is sooooo cute. He is coloured using PMs and a little silver Sparkles on his nose and blanket. The cardstock is PM and the papers are Dovecraft (Fantasy)-( a new purchase which I love) and MME (Wild Asparagus). I've used the Sizzix 'Stars' embossing die too which I defined with a little rub of Tuxedo black over the top.

The Tag is a win from CTMH and I love them. I've stamped it in Metallic Silver and edged it with Tuxedo Black using Dry N' Rub foam. I added the sentiment from the same set and added a gem and glittery brad. The ribbon is MME.
This is quite a different card for me as I've used things I haven't done before - so thanks girls for the challenge. Thanks for stopping by on this gloomy Thursday. XXX

MMMMmmmm Gingerbread...

I have decided to be prepared for next Christmas by joining in the Christmas Club Challenge hosted by Susie and Vikki of Die Cut Dreams. This has and has not started well... I made a 'Snow' card but too late to enter last week's challenge. This week is going better and I've managed to make a card on the theme 'Gingerbread' and in time!

I drew a template and have cut three out and covered them in D&D papers from 'A Winter's Tale' pack. I've used Vintage photo DI around the edges and various embellishments. I've chosen the gentleman with the black glitter buttons for my card (brads sent by Steph, thanks). I've used Inksessential white pen for the added extras. I'm sure I'll do something with the other two shortly.

The card is made with a Papermania card on which I've matted DCWV Chrisymas Stack paper and green PM textured cardstock. The sentiment is a D&D which I've edged the card with too. The ribbon is from Hobbycraft.
I'm enjoying making the CCs interspersed with other cards, not sure how it will feel in the middle of July though!
Have a good evening all. Hugs Cherry XXX

LGS Challenge 23rd

The girls over on the LGS group on Craftbubble have allowed me to be their GDT this week - thank you very much. So here is my sketch. The added twist is to use some 'interlocking' elemants as we are coming up to Valentine's day I thought this would be fun! Die cuts, stamps, papers, characters within an image all can be 'interlocked' - I'm sure all the peeps will come up with the most creative interpretations - they always do.

Do come and have a look as the group is great and the creations are wonderful. The DT cards are awesome - thank you Karen, Lauren and Rosie for your hard work and creativity.

I've used GG 'Foxy' for my card with an Anna Griffin background stamp and Sizzix diecuts and gems from Anita's. I stuck to grey and mulberry PMs mostly. The swirl in the background is from a set of tags.

Thanks for looking and have a great weekend.

Valentines' Card inspired by Judy.

In this month's 'Craft Stamper' Mag Judy Laing had a great article for a box, card and hanger. To see her work visit her blog and see the original. I just fell in love with it so I've had a go at the card. I'm really pleased with it. Thanks Judy.
I used a Joanna Sheen heart stamp and Hero Arts Patterened Butterfly set and two Sizzix dies. The buttons are from Debbie Cripps shop and the sentiment was from a candy win. I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink Vintage Photo and Brilliance pink and Lavender inks and an Ink It Up red ink.
Thanks for looking. XXX

Bits and pieces - it's nice to experiment!

Firstly I forgot to post my LGS card from Sat for Lauren's 'Roll on Spring' theme and sketch. I was a bit intimidated by the layered sketch but thought the theme was fab. Once I got started I actually loved the sketch too. I think I work with words better than images. So here is Tilda in the most spring like colours - in fact I think you may need your shades. I decided to experiment with PM colours I would not usually use, especially together.
The papers are from a DCWV pack I got last Easter layered with Mirricard.

Finally I decided to have a go at scrapbooking fuelled with the beautiful work over on Craftbubble in the Scarp Addicts Group and by Katie's work. So here is my first page based on Kathy;s January sketch.
Not sure I'm happy with it but atleast I've made a start! It can only get better!

Lastly my new Sizzix order arrived so I can experiment to my hearts or flowers content - hooray!!!!
Catch you all lAter Hugs Cherry XXX

Keeping warm

You can tell that Tilly slept and it snowed today! Two cards!
You can also tell I love my new GG SN Foxy stamp too!
So here she is again - but in hot colours red and aqua

She is teamed with K&CO papers, Anita's Gems and ribbon from stash. The flowers are one of the Sizzix flower embossilites cut on K&CO paper.

The Crafty Calendar Challenge is 'Keeping Warm' and they have some lovely inspiration - go and look. I am entering Foxy as I think they would keep each other warm.

Thanks for comments and your time.

Passion for Promarkers Colour challenge

Cool Aqua and cocoa what a lovely combo!
Couldn't resist colouring 'Blossom' by SN's designer Leanne Ellis in lovely PMs as she looks lovely with MME papers and ribbons from their 'Wild Asparagus' range. Anita's Gems and an Oxfam flower finish her off. The sentiment is Papermania.
I've had a go at stamping on an acrylic painting pad and like the texture and the way it absorbs the ink.
Thank you Passion for Promarkers Team for the challenge and inspiration.
Thanks for looking Hugs Cherry XXX

Coffee and Cream?

MMMM Yes please!
This is the lovely theme over at Susie and Vikki's Die Cut Dreams Challenge Blog.
My favourite vice is a good coffee so I was tempted into having a go - and I decided to go with it as a colour twist. I've had lots of fun stamping with an Anna Griffin background stamp with PMs on to photo paper and I love it. You do have to be careful that the stamp doesn't stick to the paper! Quickly does it.
This is one of my new SN stamps GG Foxy and she is coloured in with PMs and a bit of white Inksessential.
I used some of the paper to then stamp the Joanna Sheen flower onto and cut out. On to this I've added Glossy Accents and seed beads and two of them are decoupaged. I'm really pleased with them and myself for becoming more adventurous.
Thanks Susie, Vikki and the DT for the inspiration and the fun.
Thanks for stopping by. Cherry XXX

Ice 2

On the same theme this is my second icy coloured card - mostly using stamps and heat embossing. Loving stamping with the PMs.
Can't say how much I think of the Anna Griffin stamps - they are stupendous to work with and so versatile.
Nightie night all. Cherry XXX

Icy colour Twist over at LGS

The very talented Karen has set the sketch and twist this week. The sketch is really nice to work with and the icy colour twist is lovely - some of my favourite colour ways - perhaps a new obsession is starting.

So I inked up one of my new SN stamps 'Blossom' and an Anna Griffin background stamp and off I went. All colouring is with PMs and the other papers are 'Vintage Victorian' and a QVC shape cut up. I've added some Mill Hill beads and Glossy Accents to give a little sparkle. I really enjoyed making this card.

The flower stamp was from Joanna Sheen in one of her Grab Bags - I think it will be very useful.

We had a lovely walk this morning in the snowy woods - if a little chilly around the edges. It was nice to get out as it has been so difficult over the last few days and I have really missed the walks. Hopefully it won't be the same next week! Here's a picture of my little person having fun.

Keep warm and stay safe.

A take on Knickerblockerglory!

A quickie tonight as I wanted to have a go at the idea I had for Rosie's challenge on LGS of Knickers. Totally couldn't find the right stamp - of course I have now - must purchase the Tina Wenke 'Mouse with ice-cream'!

Oh well having got sooo carried away I forgot about the sketch - how stupid. But I did have a nice time playing. I have to say I'm loving my Anna Griffin background stamps and the PM mulberry colour.

Always love the Tildas too.

Almost forgot I made a birthday card to with the PP image and these PM colours - I think I need to walk away now!!!

I just got caught up with how she would look done in a slightly different way - I think it's still there - HELP!

Thanks for looking - perhaps the new challenge on LGS will lead me onto a different obsession.

Friends...

Friends are just lovely - and i have a few very special ones. I haven't been entering challenges lately as I wanted to develop my own style a bit more. But I have followed a few that I really like. The image I purchased from PINK Petticoat is lovely and I wanted to make a card for a friend and thought it fitted. I noticed that Susie over at Susie's Sassy Challenge has her 5th challenge running and the theme is friends - old and new. I love following Susie's blogs, you should go and check them out and she has a lovely shop too, so I thought I would enter this card.
I've used PMs to colour an Anna Griffin background stamp to make the BP and mounted it on mirricard. The PP image is Frillie Millies Bonbon and is coloured with PMs. The ribbon is by PaperArtsy and the gems are Anita's. The flower and 'Yummy' is from a Digi download set by Wench Designs from The Creativity Box. The sentiment stamp is a PM one.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are warm and cosy in this The Big Freeze!

Knickers in 2010!

THe lovely Rosie over on LGS has set the theme Knickers as her first twist to go with her sketch. This one has stumped me for days - even more so watching all the others coming up with the most amazing cards. After much thinking and research I've invested in a Pink Petticoat Digi image Frilly Millies Bonbon. She is lovely and I have coloured her with PMs and used a little paper piecing. I have teamed her with Papermania 'Blueberry Hill' papers and Paperartsy ribbon and Anita's Gems to make a card. I'm not altogether happy but at least I got over the Knicker block!

My next card may be along the Knickerblockerglory line!

We have had the dreaded white stuff today and it is still going tonight. This photo was at 11 this morning! Dread to think what it's going to be like tomorrow.

Keep safe and warm .

New beginnings

Happy New Year.
We are starting the year with a wedding celebration of one of the couples we met through the National Childbirth Trust having Tilly and on then on the 5th it's my parent's wedding anniversary. So a lovely way to mark the new year. This is the card for the wedding tomorrow. Two sizzix hearts entwinned and encrusted with gems. The sentiment and swirl are from the same Tag set.
Have a happy start to the year.
