Check out those stripes...

How I am lovin' my free time. How I am lovin' a reward I got for myself - a set of Hanglar babies! How am I lovin' step cards. So here is a product of all three. (I apologise if step cards are becoming repetitive - but just love them and their versatility (once you get the cutting/folding thang going.)
I really recommend the lovely Hanglar & Stanglar stamps they are lovely to work with and the service is amazing - really speedy. For those of you not knowing they appear in kits on E bay - but be very quick as they fly off to new homes very quickly. This little beauty has been coloured with PMs and teamed with DCWV papers from 'Nana's Kitchen' and 'Citrus' stacks. The flowers are made with my MS puch and the flourishes with Sizzix dies. The writing papers stamp has been coloured with PMs and paper pieced with a little decoupage on the front gingham lace bit.
This is for a special friend. However, it also fits with a couple of challenges where you can see some of the most amazing creative ideas.
Simon says Stamp! challenge is 'Check it out...'
and
I ♥ Promarkers is 'Stripes'.
Thanks for looking and have a great weekend - they start on Thursdays don't they?

Friends in tutti frutti...

Here is my second. It is Karen's turn to host the challenge over at LGS on Craftbubble and her sketch was lovely and the theme was Tutti Frutti - mmmmmm. I have much to make up as I missed Rosie's challenge last week due to work (hanging head in shame). I hope I am forgiven.

I've carried on experimenting with step cards so have used Karen's sketch creatively! I've used my lovely Magnolia stamps for this one and coloured with PMs and added some Glossy Accents to the pears. Papers are DCWV 'Nana's Kitchen'. Ribbon is Bo Bunny. The sentiment is Whiff of Joy 'Friends get better with time'. I've used a circle nestie for the first time and edged it with Tattered Rose DI - I love nesties and the BS.

The Simon says Challenge is 'You Gotta have Friends' (how true) and I think this fits even if it is at the 13 hour!
Thanks for looking and thanks to the LGS group for theor friendship and creativity.

The Number 3

Well it is nice to be back after my absence (have been exam marking).
So, I've managed to make a couple of cards - hooray.
Here is my first - a birthday card for one of LO's friends who is 3.

I've been experimenting with step cards (saw them on my hops and liked alot).

I've used a Pink Gem image 'Summer Milly' coloured with PMs (lots of saffron and pastel pink mmmm) and a little Sparkles and teamed her with DCWV cardstock and Sixxiz dies and a few gems. The flower was my MS punch.

Over at Passion for Promarkers Challenge they are after 'a number' so I thought this fitted well. And over at Pear Tree Designs they want 'summer loving' cards, which I think this fits nicely in with too.

Hope everyone who has had the HEAT has/is coping - have to say I like it.
It is nice to be back and I'm looking forward to getting back into crafting.

Sleepy Hollow fun with The Burtonesque Dolls

I've just discovered this newish Challenge blog through Scrappyjacky (thanks)
. I absolutely love this idea of the freaky meeting fun, funky and cute. This week's challenge is 'Sleepy Hollow'. What isn't there to like with the most beautiful Johnny D in it. So I thought I would have a go...
Cardstock is DCWV and paper is a freebie. I've heat embossed the Stampers Anonymous stamp with purple powder. The GG and her little birdie are coloured with PMs (mostly Mulberry). The tree and sentiment stamps are from a Halloween Collection by Pink Paisley. Roses are from Quixotic Paperie.

I enjoyed playing and having looked at the DT's work I am now hankering after some more darker stamps. Thanks team for the fun. Go and check The Burtonesque Dolls out.
Thanks for looking. XXX

Allsorts challenge #54

Black, white and one other colour -Mulberry.
Wanted to have another go at a different kind of card for me as I enjoyed my other glamour puss. I received this image in an image swap (thanks go to the kind stamper) and I've been wondering how to use it but I thought it would suit this card. It is coloured with PMs and is teamed with Salt and Pepper papers from the Funky Hand. I've added various embellies from my stash and used a Basic Grey sentiment. The roses are from Quixotic Paperie.
Thank you Allsorts Challenge team for the challenge and thanks for the inspirational DT work, if you've not checked them out please do.
