The Craft Barn has its second art journal challenge running until the 25th Feb. the theme is 'filled with love...'. And they wanted to see what a heart Is filled with for each participant. Reading is at the heart of what I do and who I am. The love of a good read, the love of the beauty of words and the love of the richness of language fill my world. My journal page is based on this.
I have really enjoyed playing with Dylusions ink, gesso, Octopode factory image (thanks to Debs for the loan of the rubber!), Dylusions images, Papermania images and a heart from Craft Stamper Mag. There is some text by Margaret Atwood too. I do like this page, which is unusual, I think it has only happened once before, so far.
I really liked creating the wings by stamping a Dylusions' stamp on to an inked doily.
Go and check out The Craft Barn.
The other entries are spectacular, do go and have a pleasant time browsing. Why not have a go and enter the things that fill your heart?
Have a good weekend. Cherry X

Shrink plastic baubles X3
Karen's lovely challenge this week on the CM&LI forum was 'Baubles'. So decided to break open the shrink plastic and TH bauble die. Add a little alcohol inks, twilight purple and pepper red with a spot of gold. Hey presto baubles. I added a little Papermania holly stamp and a D&D sentiment and a little thread to finish my cards.
Happy Sunday. C X

A weekend of crafting, chatter and creativity
A really exciting and creative Craftathon 2012 has come and gone. Thank you to Kathy, Wynneth, Debs, Clare and Nicola. I loved Clare's canvas workshop - great to have the courage and support to try this. Rubber gloves and inky mess was fabulous Kathy, I really enjoyed seeing all those colours mixing, not to mention the fumes!
Food and company just topped it all off. Oh and a little shopping on the way home, well....
Thanks for stopping by. Hugs Cherry xxx

February page - a work in progress.
It is February and the calendar event hosted by the wonderfully talented Kate Crane has moved on to the second month. I enjoyed keeping January documented and I can feel the organic process of finding what I like and don't taking over me. Do go and see all the amazing entries on Kate's blog - totally spectacular.
I have decided to doodle and journal at the same time this month now that the base is done.
I Took the advice offered last moth and extended my page with a flap added. Thank you great idea.
Here is my finished january page too:
Thanks for swinging by. I'm off to Bristol tomorrow eve for our craftathon meet ( a group of fellow crafters who enjoy spending time together and crafting). I am very lucky indeed. Xxxx
