Draw My Year journal

I am taking Joanne Sharpe's online class Draw My Yesr 2014 and I am enjoying the freedom if another self-paced class with a great teacher. Drawing everyday is the aim to capture the small alongside the big, which is a concept I like as a learner in the Art Journaling school.

I would say I am learning to enjoy the process. I am learning to use watercolours and Tombow markers and washi tap as page edging - I think I am becoming obsessed by this - oh dear.

Using the whole of a journal from the start has been challenging but has made me more adventurous and I love that the pages develop over time. I am loving snippets of colour on white pages - this may be in part due to the grey, brown and generally blue wet that is our landscape at the moment in the UK. The weather is wet, wild and wintery. It is lovely to be cuddled up by a fire looking across the loch rather than being blown around like we were this afternoon.

Thanks for stopping by. Happy mark making. Cherry xxx

  3. Gorgeous journal work Cherry. You are quite the talented artist. I only got into Journaling a while back and have LOVED how freeing it is and how different and inky I get in my journal compared to my card making.
