I am dotty...

Miscanthus Crafts posted her second lesson for the 'Card making to Art Journaling' Course a couple of weeks ago and I loved it. Her prompt was 'I am dotty about...'.

I set about creating last weekend. I laid down a page of dictionary pages (letter D of course) and put a layer of Gesso over the top. Antique Linen and Lemonade DIs were swooshed over the top. I used the lovely Basic Grey paper stack 'Out of Print' to cut my circles from. To add a few more circles I used a stencil and marker pens. The I doodled and journaled to my heart's content. To finish I swiped the edges with Peacock Feathers DI and added doodles.

I really enjoyed this page. Thank you Clare. I am looking forward to lesson three now.

Life book 2013

In the attempt to ignite and stay focused this year I have embarked on the lovely Tam's Life book 2013 class. I am a little daunted about the year long commitment but I have decided it would be motivating and a way of allowing myself time to do something other than work. It is way out of my comfort zone but I am loving it. Fairy Art Mother/Father (I chose mother) has been our warm up activity.

I needed to do two! I am interested in everyone's styles...not sure of my own at all. The whole concept of positivity and looking at the benefits has left me pondering about that negative voice in my head. Where did it come from and how did it get to be so loud? Why do I give it so much control?

We are off to our friend tonight for a good social eve. Catch you all tomorrow.

New Year's Eve 2012

Today it has been...

I am already for monthly journaling this new year, hopefully I will make it through all 12 months this time. I managed 10 months this year.

 

The whole double page in my new Dylusions journal (which I adore).

We are off to the cinema to see 'The Hobbit' in a mo as we have a babysitter! I hope you all have a good evening, whatever you are doing. (I'm more of a Christmas person than New Year).

It just remains for me to say Happy New Year to you all. I hope to be a better blogger in 2013.

A Journal Page and some Mince Pies

I have been trying to journal my reading, partly for me and partly as a way of modelling an independent love of reading for my classes. I thought I would share one complete page and one in progress. It has been a therapeutic journey and has made me look at texts differently too.

A bit of doodling too. I can't recommend 'Creative Doodling and Beyond' too highly. It is a good resource to have for ideas.

Wish for 2013

Clare's free online journal course has started.

Her first lesson is ready and is fab. I really enjoyed watching it with a nice glass of Merlot. It really inspired me and was a tonic. Do pop over to our forum on Craftbubble and join in.

I have decided to do it in my journal and used a double page.

I loved it was all centred around the word WISH and 2013. Perfect start indeed. Another start for us is the riding of a bike - great fun.
