Thank yous and Happy New Year's Eve

Have been playing with my new sidekick this afternoon to rustle up some very simple thank you cards to send. I had some K&CO papers for Christmas so have used them with Gems from Anitas.

So another year has come and gone...

"Let this time be. Let the present stay. Do not

Look back. Do not look forward. Let thought

Idle from dream into daylight, and watch, then, the coast

Climb out to dark, to grey, and then to chalk-white

Cliffs till the grey sea goes blue

And then indeed you

Are found and safe at last

And all your thought will grow

And you will unreel it, a silk-thread, a long-

Travelling, moving-everywhere line

And it will gradually, as you relax. it, become a song

And you will not say 'That is mine'."

Thanks

Wynneth has set the challenge this week over at LGS (a really nice sketch) on Craftbubble with the twist stripes and stars.

As she sent me this lovely Manga girl too I thought I would use her for this challenge. It's that time of year to say Thank you and Tilly had so many lovely gifts I thought I would begin my thank you cards.
Coloured the girly in with PMS - love that Mulberry colour. For the background I used an Anna Griffin stamp and PMs in stripes which I am pleased with. Punched out the stars and mounted it on mirricard. The Thanks is from the set I won a while back and added three Anitas' gems. I edged the card with the Mulberry PM too.
It is a lovely festive time and I have so enjoyed myself and we have a wedding to look forward to on Saturday. Hope everyone is having a great time. Hugs and prosperous New Year wishes. Cherry XXX

Only 6 days to go!

Various Christmas cards - glad I've finished.

I haven't been around much lately due to a bad back and just the time of year - like the rest of you busy. I have been busy making cards and presents. I'm getting really excited and it is so magical with my little girl who is now 21 months.

Cross stitch wall hanging with a great hanger from Debbie Cripps online store.
Trial lunch for the big day - Cranberry, chestnut and parsnip nut loaf (yes I'm veggie!) Decided to combine it with another receipe Mushroom and nut wellington to make a hybid - as this was alittle too sweet and my DH likes pastry.

Finally Lauren has set us a lovely challenge over at LGS to come up with decorations - tree or bauble! Go and have a look at the other's work as it is lovely.
I've gone for tree and have had a great time covering myself in acrylic paint and bronze Perfect Pearls.. Added a little ribbon and some gems and seed beads to finish it off.
The template was from Evie S Things of Beauty.
Can't wait to open my presents as one of them is from Sugar Nellie as I was picked on the first day of Christmas - thank you.
Off to put up the tree - it's beginning to feel like Christmas.

LGS Katie's Sketch

Here is Katie's sketch this week with the twist of using multiple images - it was a pleasure to use. It is very sad that Katie is stepping down from the DT as she is very innovative. She is however a busy lady - do pop over to her blog.

I'm afraid it's another Christmas card!

Just a quick note to say I have had a lovely afternoon making Christmas cards for my LGS friends. I am loving Crafttime glitter papers and Papermania Christmas stamps. Hope everyone else is having a bauble time.

LGS Snowman

The sketch over at LGS was designed by young Maddie with the added twist Stripes and spots. After much consideration I decided that I'm not a stripes and spot gal.

My card is loosely based on the scheme but I did try a new style with less fuss. I think I like it as an alternative.
