I struggle with this concept all of the time. If it is not perfect/right/best then it is not good enough. This is something I only seem to apply to me. I value the different approaches used by everyone else and love seeing those around me following their paths without placing the same rules on them.
I was reading Violette's journalling book and loved her Gremlin page idea (draw the inner gremlin on the page and have a dialogue with it then start journalling), that is what started me thinking about the struggle I have on a daily basis with should/could/ought. Often it is these that place me in my sterile box of non-activity or domestic pre-occupation. Having returned to work in September, I have noticed they have got louder and the ability to be and enjoy have got less.
This is my answer today, the focus on the colours and dream-like qualities of being on the journey where it is the journey that allows the daily miracles to occur within oneself. The journey is the allowable activity for me that the other words stop if I let them.
What gets you facing those gremlins?
I enjoyed creating with the Dylusions inks, Distress Ink Markers, Sharpie Markers, Caron D'Ache pastels, liquid Pearls and Glossy Accents. Thanks to Louise for the image. Also used tissue paper and book pages. The quote is from Violette's book and is credited to Saki.
Thanks for visiting on Maundy Thursday. C XxX
