MMMMMmmmm Saturday

I would have thought most of us like Saturdays as a concept.
We decided that we would visit Evesham Country Park today for a ride on the minature steam train and for a picnic. I love food and am quite partial to a bit of baking. So we took with us some more of the cheese and sweetcorn scones and I decided to try Caroline's Skinny Banana Bread. (Thank you Caroline we love it - very moist and yummy).
Voila, my 4/365 is our Skinny Banana Bread.

I also like Saturdays as the group 'Craft Mad & Lovin' it' have their new sketchie challenge which I like to have a go at. The lovely and creative Clare is hosting as a GD this week and has come up with a lovely sketch and twist -'zig zags'.
One of my crafty mates (thanks Kylie) very kindly sent me some images of Gossamer Cornwand(C.C. Designs) that she knew I liked so I have used one already! with my wax pastels and Sansador.

She is teamed with papers by Dovecraft and lots of punched leaves and flowers and gems.
The zig zags are quite subtle - just the cuts around the image and sentiment. But I may have another go and go zig zag crazy. The colours sort of took over in my head - it may be the seasonal change that did it.
Thanks for your time today - what day do you like the concept of or the reality of?

  3. contented sigh. I love all of these colors. Nice and neutral and autumny - from the bread to your card. I just am not a crafty person. I'm so impressed by those who are.

Thanks for your WONDERFUL comment about my photos. I laughed right out loud from your encouragement - it came at the perfect time and I will take your advice!

Bee balm - I thought that everyone knew about it. I'm forgetting that I didn't until I moved out here, 16 years ago. It's in the mint family and will be very happy to fill your entire garden in! It is bright and cheery but, sometimes, I think it's a bit too bright. EVERYONE around here has it - lots of it! =]

  4. Yummy-looking bread, Cherry. Your card is beautiful and you are very talented. I guess I like Wednesday because it breaks up the week especially if I'm not working Wednesday night. It can also be a turning point; if the beginning of the week starts out badly there's always Wednesday and a fresh start to the second half. Maybe it has something to do with me being a Libra (the scales) so here I am in the middle trying to balance everything out just like a Wednesday...............
